We put the cart in front of the horse

Well we decided to try and hatch some eggs and raise for bird dog training.
In our haste we did not look at the calandar to closely.
What I mean is that we are incubating 25 chukars and 25 jumbo bobs, which are scheduled to hatch in a week,
It is now Feb. 10th in Wisconsin.
My question is, how long until we can acclimate these birds to outdoor temps.
I have read that the brooding temp is to be dropped by 5 degrees/wk with a starting temp of 95. In doing the math that works out to about 5 weeks before the birds are accustomed to room temperature? That would put us some where around the end of March.
It is still a bit chilly the end of March. We do have some space in the garage that we could keep the pen until early spring.
All suggestions greatly appreciated.

That 5 degree drop to ambient temperature is assuming it is spring/summer. If I were you, I'd keep them in for a while longer.
Cold nights may be a bit much for them.
(up here it is still winter at that time
