Hello I am anew member and am new to game bird breeding.

I have a few bantoms that range free in a the few acres that I have. They come back in their coop every evening.

Is iit feasible to raise Ringneck pheasants  under a broody Bantam hen and get them to free range in my yard and just stick around and not fly away. What I mean is can they stay in a semi domesticated state just like the bantams and be trained to come back to roost in a coop without having to confine them all the time.

Are there any other game birds that can be raised similarly.
Thanks

Hello Arizona,
Personally, I've never heard of anyone really having much luck with "domesticating" ringnecks to the point of being able to let them run free and have them return at night.  I do know one man who allowed his silver pheasants to roam free during the day for many years and they always returned to their pen to roost at night.  I'm not that brave with my silvers.  If you try it and have any success put up another posting and let us know.

Good luck
