[HELP] black horn growing out of head

so i've been keeping an italian quail for about 2 months now, everything has been fine until about 3 days ago. i looked at his head and saw a little round bald spot, feathers were missing, now there is a little horn looking thing growing out of it and there looks to be scabs on it also. this is my first quail so i dont know if this is normal or what. please help :[

i've tried searching it but i cant seem to be able to find anything on it.
