Title: 2007 Hatches
Post by: aKirA on June 06, 2007, 03:22:52 AM
12/16 Mountain quails hatched successfully. They are mixed in with 7 Valley quails at the moment but this season Im just going to raise Mountain quails. Still have 11 developing in the incubator.

Very cool. I did the same thing with my incubator with the wire to seperate the hatching from the incubating. Seems great minds think alike.

Depends on your room temp, weather, chicks to brood, brooder size, how close bulb is to chick.

Im currently brooding around 18 chicks in a compact brooder. So. Cali weather. 60wats is more then enuff heat. I even have to tune down the dimmer a bit cuz the bulb at full blast is too hot.
