I have been having a difficult time hatching mountain quail and phenomenal success with everything else. Out of 5 different attempts every result was dismal to say the least. I found this information to be the problem solver and the guy who developed it extremely knowable.

Click on the link provided. A excel spread sheet calculator that is extremely useful and solved my problems with the hatchability of my quail eggs. Just because all the literature tells you that the humidity has to be 50% for that specific species is not necessary true. depending on feed and genetic lines the humidify can very to such a degree that your eggs will not hatch. In my case 84-86 wb was the recommended and in reality it was  75 wb. The eggs just would not loose enough weight to hatch.
