I am having great success with my quail, but I can't seem to get the ringnecks to hatch. I use a Hova-Bator with a fan for incubation and a separate Hova-Bator w/o a fan to hatch. Last week I put 10 eggs into the hatcher 3 hatched and 2 more piped but nothing the other 5 did nothing at all. This wee I put 6 to the hatcher and two hatched and one more piped. The 2 that hatched are both having problems standing. They move good and are eating and drinking. The temp in my incubator is 99.5 with a humidity of 60-65%, the hatcher is 98.5 and a humidity of 70-75. Is my temp wrong, my humidity? Also will the two newly hatched chicks grow strong enough to stand or should I put them down to keep them from suffering? Any help I can get would be great. I have already searched and read everything I can and according to what I am reading I have my settings right.

When are you moving the eggs to the hatcher? Last 3 days of incubation correct? In a still air(without fan), temp should be 101 or so.

Yes I am moving them with 3 days left. I will try increasing the temp to 101 and see if that helps. Thanks

The humidity is correct. I have 2 thermometers that also read humidty in both incubators. We had the humidity problem last year with the quail.

Well we moved 10 more eggs into the hatcher and this time we had 8 out of 10 hatch. It looks like the temp was to low. Thanks to everyone for your help. This is a great site and I will be back often.
