Hi

I want to start Quail Farming first as a hobby to see if it is viable here in the Middle East...I will have lots of questions but here is my first.

I understand it is vital when starting to get eggs/chicks from a reliable breeder. I am based in Oman which is very hot up to 45degrees. Will it be possible to get eggs shipped here to start off my enterprise. If during transport they are left anywhere without AC temperatures could reach 45deg will this destroy the fertile eggs or will they still be viable?  stp1

I am not sure if will be viable to keep the layers quail outside during the summer here as temp can reach 40 or more any advice on this would be appreciated. What is the optimum temp for egg production?

Thanks

J
