How long does it take for the eggs to actually hatch after they have started pipping? I've got 5 eggs that pipped Thurs. and I don't see a lot of progress. One egg moves now and then so I know that one is still alive. Just didn't know how long I should give them.

make sure you have the currect humidity.
the hatching process can take several days. From the first peck marks to hatching can span over 3+ days. Once the chicks are ready to come out...they'll start making the circle pattern.

I've got 85% humidity. Is this high enough?

too high, drop it down to between 65% and 75%. And by the way, my button quail eggs are pipping too, I just noticed the first one about 10 minutes ago.

Got 7, but have more to put in the hatcher probably tomorrow. Had 11 ducks hatch with probably one more to go. What causes early hatching? the ducks weren't suppose to hatch until Tues. and most of them came on Sun. Would it be because of too high of humidity? I know the hatching date was correct cause I put them in on May 31 and ducks take 28 days right?

High temperature is usually what brings them out early. When the critters hatch is often a better thermometer than anything walmart sells. If this is a pattern, turn it down a degree or so.
