Well someone had to kick this off...

Hi, i'm Emma. I'm from England, I keep Japanese (assorted colours) and bobwhite (northern & red tenn) for eggs and meat (we don't have quail hunting over here & its illegal to release them into the wild).

With all the different species released there over the many years, I'm surprised !
One of many places they released Reeves Pheasants for hunting.

  s016 j1 welcome to the quail place do you belong to suz's quail forum to ? there are alot of english quail raisers on there too,  i like this site alot too its very diverse and knowledgeable

Here are a couple of pics of some of my birds:


Mix of colours having a dust bath, normal, couple of goldens, a tuxedo and a range (tibetan in US).



"Tux factory", i'm crossing white A&M to large ranges (330g+, or 11oz) to hopefully get some pretty egg layers and decent sized meat cocks. I've found that most of the tux or ranges we have over here are tiny so want to improve things a bit. Considering I started with a bird that was 220g i'm pretty chuffed to have got a 100g average increase.
