Well I am new at this game bird hatching. I tired to hatch chuckar and pheasants last month and only had a 10% hatch. Most of the eggs i broke open after 4 days from hatch date, were fully formed. The ones that did make it, I had to help break out of there shells.
So I decided to try again with quail eggs. I only had one hatch from 6 eggs. I also broke the other eggs and found 3 other fully form chicks, with no sign of life. I can't figure out what am do wrong. I have another 9 valley qauil eggs about to hatch in 5 days and don't want to loss them all.
I am using a little giant with forced air and egg turner. I left the eggs on the turner for 20 days then took out the turner and placed the eggs on there side. Had the temp right around 99.5 and about 50% humidy (pretty had to keep the in the desert), 60% is the best I could get.
