What is the lifespan of different types of quail?

Japanese Quail?

I heard the Bobwhite only lives one year, true?

Japanese quail will start laying around 6 weeks, start laying fairly consistently at around 8 weeks, go into decline at around 8 months, and are not too likely to live much more than a year.

I was wondering this last night while looking at my birds.
This is my first year, I have a few Cortix and will be wintering about 25 jumbo bobs for breeders.

I can see the lifespan being shorter in the wild but can anyone chime in and see how long you have had quail in cages and how long they live. Some breeds longer than others ?

I have had bobs and courtnix live up to 3 years old.  Bobs can live longer. Courtnix I'm not so sure.  If you didn't breed them they might live longer.

I may be wrong, but I do believe that I read once that bobwhites will live 7 years in captivity. But the "average" lifespan in the wild is 7 months.

I have several pairs of Bobwhite quail, and they are my babies.  I have had them  for 2 1/2 yrs, and I would like to know what is the max life so far for them in captivity.  They are spoiled with treats such as worms, grated zucchinni and cucmbers.  I just love to listen to them and let them eat out of my hand.
