I just got about 20 japanese quail today from a person who saved them from china town in san fransico. When I picked them up today they didnt look to good I dont know if its because its mating season or it could be because they were kept in a small cage and they got all stressed out and most of them have spots were theres no feathers at all on the head and back. When i got home i sepperated males and females so hopefully the females wouldnt be terrorized all the time and the males wouldnt fight. So if anyone has any advice on what to do that would be great.

Thanks s85 s2 ???

  O.M.F.G.  !!!

Now I know all of your posts really have been just a big JOKE!

Saved them from "those people" and their evil intent to use them for the purpose  God (suppose you don't "believe in" him, either) created them.

One twisted little girl pretending to be a man, is enough.

But, then, that's just my humble (as always) oppinion.

Well.....  I don't think we even have to take a vote on that one.  It's probably a good thing you can't understand me (I may be "wierd", or is it "wired", but at least I'm not simple).
It was kind of an insider thing, I guess.

I'm sure glad those chickie quails birds are safe.  Especially the girlie birdies (won't have to be terrorized, or have babies now, or as Obama says, "be punished with a baby")  I bet them chinermen didn't go get more to replace them, huh?

I was deeply hurt at being "outed" as being weird (no one had a clue, before).

Then my bestest friend, here, laughed at me.

On top of that, my good buddy birdlover rubbed salt in my wounds, reveling in my injured condition.

OK, I feel a little better.  But, don't be too quick to apologize.  You know how it is around here, when some of the roosters sense weakness.  After all, you are still pretty close to the bottom in the pecking order.

BTW, shouldn't you be in school?

s15 Hey Quail man, I have Jap birds. The males are very rough with the hens. The hens run from them most times unless you do a 4 to 1 ratio. That is four hens to one rooster. This way he will not have the energy to take IT out on one hen.
