I have been using Bacitracin, neomycin, polymyxin eye ointment. This eye isn't getting better like the other bird did once. I can force out white pasty stuff, like cooked egg white, smells awful! WHat is Tylan? Should I supplement water with something?

You need to take the bird (if you want to save it) to an avian Vet. It sounds like it has gone too far (maybe). You will likely need to pick up some injectable drugs (like Baytril) to gain control of it.

rusty, It sounds like Infectious Coryza. Go to the merk vet manual here: http://www.merckvetmanual.com/mvm/index.jsp?cfile=htm/bc/206600.htm&word=Infectious+CoryzaHope this helps you out. Steve Pheasant Hollow Farm This was posted on Dr LELAND HAYES' FREE GAMEBIRD eZINE
We are experiencing an eye problem with two of our female pheasants. We have quarantined them and have decided not to use any of the eggs from that breeding pen, until we know what we are dealing with. Any help will be appreciated. One eye only on the birds are red and swollen,--almost shut. It almost appears as if they have been punched in the eye. No discharge. Upon catching the birds they seemed to have a rattle. We have had a lot of rain in the last couple weeks and the birds do not seem to utilize the shelter provided. Any comments, suggestions will be appreciated. Thank you. (We have started the birds on an antibiotic, but are unsure if we should medicate that entire breeding pen.) Les
ANSWER: I am not a Veterinarian and can only give advice based on my experience and reading. I would bet that your birds have what is known as "One eyed Cold" which is not a cold at all but an infection of the sinus and eyes. It could be a disease called "Infectious Coryza" which is bad news. It can be treated successfully but the birds will always be carriers. More than likely it is a simple sinus infection.
You can treat this with antibiotics such as tetracycline, or some of the other Sulfa drugs. You should see the problem get worse before it gets better as usually there is drainage from the eye and even puss which should be drained away.
I would recommend that you call a local Vet and tell him about the problem. He may not want you to bring the birds into his Clinic but he can possibly make some suggestions as to the treatment. I had a Peahen that had this one time and after two drains of the puss, she got well and was a very good breeder.

Thanks Folks.
Can't spend money on them, the 6 dogs take up too much of it. These birds happened upon me and most of the offspring will be used to trains dogs. I just wanted to make this gal feel and get better as she seems the biggest and I may have kept her for breeding.

Pine Grove, What type of worm? Give me the name of this worm you are referring to. I can't find any worms that are associated with this. Steve Pheasant Hollow Farm

Thats funny! I did find a worm when I was working on eye, not sure where it came from, could have been outside on bird or in cage or in the eye. But I felt it may have come from in the eye. I was swabbing out puss. Small thin dark grayish maybe 3/4" worm.
I was just loggin on to say the eye seems to be getting better. Swelling is down and the bird is feistier now when I treat the eye. Before she just let me work her head and eye and put my finger in mouth to push up on the bump on the roof of mouth to force out puss. Now no bump in mouth and not dirt build up on nose or mouth.
