I have 5 guinea eggs in the hatcher due to hatch wednesday. so far 3 have pipped today. is it normal for guineas to hatch this early? the temp has been between 100 and 102 and the humidity was 50-60% in the incubator and is about 70% in the hatcher.

HOLY COW MIKE!  I can't answer your question, but didn't your neighbors complain about the noise from your quail???  They'll crap when they start hearing Guineas!  Luv it!!!

G'luck

Mine almost always Hatch early. Don't know Why tho?

I have a chicken sitting on 20 Guinea eggs, so I'll see if they hatch early to.
Maybe something about artificial incubating.

Hello,    I have 3 gqf 1502's, 1 of them I can't get the temp. down to 99.5 or 100. The 1 stays @ 102-103 all the eggs I put in there hatch early. Ex. I had 500 bobwhite eggs in it when it turned day 21 time to put in the hatcher they were alraedy hatching I've incubated several batches and all were the same "early". I was told that if the temp. was higher they would start hatching early. This is all I know it's what I've learned about it so I keep my eye on it to make sure I have no early hatches. I hope this helps.   GOD BLESS, Tommy

4 out of the 5 eggs hatched. the 5th one broke the membrane and it was sort of vapor locked on the nostril.

John, the guineas were for a guy I know, I sold him all of the chicks for $4 each. I also bought 6 chicks for him earlier this month for $3 each and sold them to him for $4 each. Now he has a friend who wants another 6. Too bad he doesn't want more. I can get 18 for under $40.

Guineas need a lot of humidity I think.

Just out of curiosity, how do you check your thermometers?
