Good tip, Reeves. I don't mess with trying to hatch any eggs that appear out of the norm. That means in any major way; oblong shape, overdeveloped pores, overly large or overly small, dips in, etc.

hi,
but i bet their is at least a slight chance that it might hatch, when you have only one hen laying the eggs for incubating you have to incubate all of the eggs she lays, since theirs a limited amount of eggs she will lay, and you want enough for incubating to make up for the ones that dont hatch or make it to adults.

Thanks !!

No.. With the size of the egg that you are talking about being,

almost twice the size
, it is nothing more then a double yoke-r. The egg will not hatch.

There won't be any hatching out of the double-yolked egg... they will sometimes develop, but rarely hatch, and if they do, only one usually hatches and will most likely be very weak/ have deformities.
