The big black flying ants are here today ! Been out chasing them to feed to my Quail ! One of the Bob hens has been trying to lay an egg inside & the male keeps calling her out for the bugs  :lol:
The things a person will do for the critters  :lol:

For some reason i used to remember having the ants come here during the summer months when i was younger, ...but they dont seem to come around anymore.

Took me about a half hour, but I trained a Valley hen to come to me for bugs by tapping on the pen each time I put one in ! Spent about 3 hours catching them for the Quail & Pheasants !

my male will come toward me if i hold my hand out, because he knows he's gonna get a pillbug for it! he munches those like popcorn, and i introduced him to earthworms and slugs today...he kept scraping his beak against the ground, tring to get the slime off! it was hilarious!  :lol:
