I bought some quail breeder egg role out cages that are 10 cages to the unit and each cage measures 1ft wide and 2ft deep. How many Butler breeders can I put in each individual pen and what ratio? I am thinking maybe just 1 pair per pen or maybe 1 male and 2 females. Any ideas will be appreciated. Also will these pens work for breeder Valleys and Gamble???

I have the 12 compartment rollout, and I run Trio's in it, That is Coturnix Trios. As far as the Valley's and Gambels, I can't tell you. My Valley's are from Reeves stock and are more used to lots of space and privacy. They are paired up in 100 sq.' breeding pens.

In my breeder roll out cages from GQF. I only have a hen and cock. Thats because the Butlers I have are to big to run 2 hens to a cock.
