Can anyone help with the estimeated growth rate of coturnix coturnix, time from hatching to slaughter weight and the conversion rate of feed to body mass?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hey Richard

I raise the Texas A & M, White coturnix. I harves them between 7 and 8 weeks of age. They will still grow larger, but thier rate of growth slows down and thier food consumsion stays the same. So it's best to kill them and start another bunch. At 7-8 weeks mine weigh 10 - 11 oz. live weight.

The way I work mine is to set a batch of eggs every 4 weeks and harvest at 8 weeks. This keeps the cycle going. sometimes it may be 10 weeks before all of the last batch is gone. I move the chicks through a series of cages in an assembly line fashion. So the older ones have to be gone to make room for the younger ones and so on.
