Post by: ALBERTA 67 on April 03, 2007, 02:08:06 AM
GOOD DAY WILL DUCK OR GOOSE FOOD WORK ON PHEASANTCHICKS ? ITS NON MEDICATED?
IM ABOUT TO PUT A BATCH OF EGGS IN TO MY INCUBATOR AND A FEW PEOPLE HAVE TOLD ME NOT TO WORRY ABOUT PUTTING IN ANY WATER ,IS THIS TRUE?
THIS MIGHT BE A STUPID ONE BUT CAN I PUT ANOTHER BATCH OF EGGS IN THE INCUBATER? SAY A WEEK LATER THAN THE FIRST BATCH?
THANKS

you need gamebird starter with 28% protein  if you are talking about humidity in the incubator it must be at least 50%so you need to put water in it  you can set as many eggs as you want with different hatch dates     and do not type in caps very rude

A little off topic...

Alberta 67 , so , I take it you are in Alberta Canada ? I'm in northern Alberta if you need any help with Pheasants.

As for setting eggs, I set new eggs 7-10 apart . This way you will not have a traffic jam at the hatcher. Gives you a chance to clean and sterilize the hatcher between hatches.

Temp and humidity info: http://www.thatquailplace.com/raising/humidity.htm

Chick feed has been answered. (Duck food differs from bird food)
