Hello all, we are new to quails, and I was wondering if my current bird feed will be adequate. Right now we feed out 24% crushed game bird feed, mixed with cracked corn in a 60/40 split...(60% gamebird, 40% corn). I ordered Northern Bobwhites today, and will be receiving them next week. I just want to make sure I'm ready to go as far as feed goes... if I need anything special or not. The chicks would be started on 24% start & grow.
Thanks in advance,
Dan

Chicks require 28 % and corn is not the best thing to give them, by mixing the feed you are cutting way back on the protein ,feed just a gamebird starter with 28 % ptotein
