Hey I don't care what you people say about Lake Cumberland!! But They are the Tops on my List. I Ordered eggs a month ahead of time and their eggs are always Clean and Ready for set in the incubator. If you give them a little advanced notice ( Like every one wants you will not be Disappointed) Great People will Depend on them for all of my egg orders!!!! s98 j41

Doesn't really matter a lot to me, but I was also wondering why he mentioned  not caring what "you people" say about Lake Cumberland.  CBF is a different company, located in Arkansas.  They may have some of CBFs eggs, or chicks "dropped shipped" under their name, I don't know.  Rather an unfortunate term to apply to fertile eggs, huh?

There was some mention of having bad luck with eggs from Lake Cumberland in some thread, here.  I would suppose that would depend a lot on which actual grower had the eggs, the originating, and the other Post offices, or freight companies which handled them.  This is one reason I try to deal with the people who actually own the layers, if possible, anytime I have to buy eggs, or chicks.   The more people involved the easier to pass blame, and the harder it is to know for sure what happened.

Your going to have to incubate them first and if you do it right and the eggs were good the chicks will come out on there own...

WOW! 2 hatched out of 48 !?!?!?!?!?!?!?! I cannot get a hold of Cinda.

Of the other eggs in the incubator at the same time [bobwhites and buttons] I got 75% hatching rate.

I should explain, all three species were shipped to me via USPS from three different locations. The eggs from Cinda were thrashed when they arrived, but of the survivors 37, only two hatched. That is all I am saysing on this matter.

I really wish I had more than just 2, but I am sick and tired ofthe incubator...

With a total of 20 combine e-mails and phone calls not a single response.  Packaging was poor and unlike experiences give to me by other and by her website that discuss excellent packaging.  Eggs were wet and stuck to the paper in the egg crates and the crates themselves.  there was no support between the crates and the boxes on the ends to prtect them and only a thin single layer of already popped bubble-wrap on the outside.  I ordered more from Garry Landry and got much better results.
