type of wood for an incubator

is there a BEST type of wood to use for an incubator? Is there a type of wood to NOT use? I have maple and pine and alaskan yellow cedar in the shop I could use.....

Maple - good hard wood. May have nice wood grain, depending of which type. Strong and long lasting.
Pine - nice wood grain, depending on stain used. Lighter than the Maple,and easier to work with.
Yellow Cedar - I haven't seen enough to comment on the grain. I do know it has a chemical in it that when you mix mater (humidity) and steel (screws) that the steel will corrode badly. Would likely have to use something treated, of stainless ? Which should be used anyway, due to the water issue.

so, it doesn't matter for function what type of wood? Just pick what I like for looks? (in that case will probably use maple - I work with quilted, fiddleback, and burl maple and some of it doesn't have as much 'figure', so I could use up the less fancy maple :)
