I go out there every morning and so do the dogs. The birds actually know who the threats are. My dogs will accompany me in the pen in June when the pen is bone dry and the birds don't spook, they will walk up to the dogs, or the dogs will go to them and sniff.

Now, when a strange dog or person comes near the pen, the birds will go ballistic. During the Fall hunting season, when I am in camo, the birds freak out and will either fly to the first pen area or just run to the other side.

These birds are smarter then I thought.

Well time to finish off the balance of the coffee.

Later j2

What a wash out yesterday for Mothers' Day. Rain all day, and the heaviest was after 5pm. We picked up over 1.5 inches of total rainfall. The high yesterday was 64*

Today: Considerable cloudiness with occasional rain showers. High near 55F. Winds NNW at 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 60%.

Tomorrow is the only day that looks to be a nice day with Sunny skies. Warmer. High 74F. Winds light and variable

Then back for more rain the rest of the week.  Seems like May is the replacement of the April Showers bring May Flowers.

Keep dry j2

Ya, I haven't had an away vacation in over 11 years. 8 years since I have been in WV and doing the birds. Just can't seem to find, or even trust anyone with the birds.
