Title: I am delighted to announce that they are the proud parents of 25 out of 28 eggs

Does anyone know the breeding life span for this pair of cortinix that are now docile pets of mine that I have become attached to and could never kill for food.

So now I'm wondering what to do with all the eggs ha ha, I'm also thinking of pickling, selling the birds as pets & meat production for the family and so on. what versatile little creatures these are. Pete.

Post by: cactipeat on May 21, 2009, 01:08:44 AM: I lost 2 chicks today ONE WAS PURE WHITE, they just didn't eat or grow. The rest are very healthy looking and I still have a shade darker white as well as pure yellows, striped and a Misha masha.
As to there age and period of fertility i wonder whether pureness of breed and size are in the equation.
