I am new to raising Quail and am presently getting all my equipment together before starting but would like to know how are you guys and girls keeping possums and coons out of your hoop pens? Do you use wire under the netting or all wire ect. ? I have seemingly given about 1000 dirt naps to coons and possums but there relatives keep coming.  c110

Thanks,
Dan

This is what i do hope it helps, I run tin sheets all the way around my flight pens burried six inches in the ground and then run three strands of electric fence around the the out side of that and use a high voltage enigizer to power the wire. that has worked so far but just in case when the dogs bark to warn my of any thing coming in from the fields I have a loaded .223 at the back door. Have not lost a bird yet to out side critters.
