I have 6 pheasant chicks, they are a month and a half old (ring necks).  Just noticed that one of them has an odd lump on its face near where the beak meets the skin.  It is hard and doesn't seem inflamed or painful.  Bird is able to eat and drink normally, just one side of its face is puffed out near the beak. Any ideas what this could be?  I think this one is a male. This growth is only on one side of the face, I don't think it is normal.  (These are my 1st pheasants).

I appreciate any ideas on this. Thanks, Linda Hamid
