Do you have better pictures of the top of the male head ?
Looks like too much black in the white.

I can see if I can get a better pic for you. The breeding stock I have came from 5 differant breeders. This specific cock came from blood lines that were used to help repopulate flocks in china. When I choose breeding stock of Reeves I was looking for the most brillant colors through the main body.

Reeves, I was going to ask for your opinion on these birds, as I thought you would be knowledgeable about them! :?: What would you say the key things to look for are  in finding pure ones? I see you mentioned maybe too much black on the top of the head as one thing...

Some want no black in the white on the top of the head.
Some say it doesn't matter.

I've seen both. Mine has a few black in the white.

It sounds like the fellow has very good breeding stock, and a good breeding program.

Lets put it like this: If I was closer, I'd buy from him.

Male I have now. Pictures were taken a couple years ago ?
Also, pictures taken in April, so feathers not in the best shape or color brightness.

I've had males with more black on head top, and ones with less/none.

All were mad as a hatter / junk yard dog !

Love this species !
