That is one nice hatcher/brooding box. That one corner piece appears to be a little out of square, you may want to check it? Some pics in the "Build it yourself" section would be nice. There was a fella runnin' 'round here a while back lookin' to patent a incubator/hatcher..........he might steal your design and put GQF out of business.

awesome looking hatching brooding box almost looks like a cedar chest...but out of pine ...i wonder if you could make one out of a pine chest

Candled eggs this morning and 74 were bad out of the 337.
Guessing that not to bad.

JWS, did you make that box? If so, well done. It looks great. I am working on an incubator that will handle 577 Quail eggs with an electronic heating/ humidity system installed by a friend who sets up heating/AC systems. All controls will be controlled by and accessed through my computer. When complete, spring "09, I will post pic's and vital info.

Well it's day 14 eggs going into the hatcher.. We did a test hatch to make sure everything was working right and just as i hoped it did. We put 16 eggs in about 6 days before we got the 300 in. And out of 16 we had 13 hatched our first time hatching quail and so far so go. Here is a pic of the test eggs.. Here are the babies... Well here are all the eggs in the hatcher.. Well Sunday or Monday we will see what happens..

Ok it's all over with a total of 221 total babys hatched. Will post pics soon this week is my 12 hr work week 6am to 6pm.
