That Quail Place Forums has helped us hatch one of 4 Gambles Quail eggs. Thanks You!
The bossy chick is now 4 weeks and housed in a modified large 95qt clear plastic storage box. Temp is 80-85. Alfalfa flooring. Chick starter feed.
What next ....
Correct temp ?
Correct flooring?
Correct feed?
Correct lighting?
Next form of indoor housing?

Our main issues are the chick trying to follow us "through" the sides of the box at a frantic pace so we papered the sides. Do they ever get the concept of glass?

How or should we try to release it to the wild?

Thanks in advance. :?:

Sounds like the chick is pretty attached to you if it tries to follow you all the time. If the chick is tame then chances are it wont survive in the wild. Sounds like you have a pet... :D
