2 day old quail...when do they start walking????

Or should they have already started to walk???  Since they aren't walking, how can they get water?

if they are 2 days old and not walkig are you sure they are alive they will normally walk about 1 minute after they are hatched dip thier beak in water when you take them from hatcherand put in brooder

No, they are not walking.  They are about 3 days old and their legs are pushing as they squirm around but they have not stood up yet.  I did dip their beaks in the water and do have food in the brooder for them but they have not in any way stood up.  Thoughts?

what  is in the bottom of brooder i use paper towels gives them some footing

As soon as my babies hatch they are running around the incubator.  Not sure what but something is seriuosly wrong.
