Mr Moorehouse,

I visited your site.. Thanks for the explanation on your flight pens on the flight ready birds section. I was hoping to find out how many adult quail you can stick in the 12'x60' pens and for how long without causing birds to fight and canabilize?

Technically you can put 1 quail per sq/ft. But, I put no more than 500 in a flight pen at once, usually 400. The only time I put in 500 is in the fall because 300 of those go into the layer pens when they hit 20 weeks and I can tell hens from males (tennessee reds), leaving the other 200 plenty of space to get thier wings in time for spring training. I would not recommend going under 2 sq/ft/bird unless you have a program that you know will produce good flying birds in tighter conditions...

Thanks for visiting the site :-)

Chris
