Does anybody know an easy way to get the shell off these things

i bet that you used very fresh eggs.  you need to use your older eggs like a couple of weeks old. and they seem to peel whole lot better.  let me know if that works good luck  galen

I Keep mine in the fridge for at least a week before I boil them.  I put them in a pot in regular temp tap water.  When the water starts to boil, I time them for 8 minutes at hard boil.  Remove from stove, run cool tap water in pot until all cool and get busy peeling.  Some people use vinegar to disolve the shell.  It works, but uses vinegar and takes 8-12 hours. Then you still have to peel the membrane from the egg.  Just too time consuming to me.  Remember a fresh egg is always harder to peel.

There are several methods I know of:

1) Some swear by boiling the eggs with a potatoe.  They say the acid in the pototoe helps when peeling the eggs

2) Peel the eggs while still warm under running water

3) Freeze the eggs enough that the inner membrane will be stiff but don't freeze solid and then peel.
