I just caught a skunk and I've been able to release her alive far from my house, and I still smell nice  s020

I know many people consider me weird, crazy or even an @$$hole to do that, but as I live in wood, I live where animals already lived since many centuaries and I have to adapt myself to them, if I wasn't ready to live with animals, I would live in city. And, If I would have kill her in my cage, it would be good for garbage  :wink:

Get an old 45 gallon drum, put the trap and lots of Cedar boughs, fill with water. Make fire under it and boil: clean trap.

  I didn't read at what point you remove the skunk.  Does that depend on availability of protein?

  You Guesst'er,  Chester.

  I suppose properly boilt Skunk would be about like Possum.

  Actually, a little lingering scent would put other critters at ease.  Ounce you catch one Coyote, or Fox, you are very likely to catch others, in the same set.
