i have had my first sucesfull hatch, and have got every thing ready (brooder feed ect.) i built the brooder out of cardboard ( a few boxes) and duct tape and use a drop light for heat using 100 watts. just when we put them in the brooder two of them got stuck on duct tape! on of them just had it on his back and wing and is not to severe though the other one has some over one eye i'm worried about them we clipped off most of it though we cant get the part over the eye off. are there any duct tape solvents that will get the duct tape off the eye with out harming the chick?(eye) we thought about oil though that might hurt alot help!

Olive oil.  It has natural anti-bacterial properties that won't cause injury and is mild enough to not damage the eye.  It will loosen up the duct tape but it may take a few applications.
