My darlings are grown up and set for release. I intend to release a few each day and call them back at night.  They need to learn how to use the funnel from what I understand/read.  Any tips from you guys on how to train them to use the funnel?
I was thinking about building a small pen to set beside their current one for their feeder and put a funnel to it and see if they can come over to their feeder.  I would give them a return funnel as well.
Whataya think?
Thanks.

I would not get them used to using a funnel for in and out...may do more harm that good...just try putting a little feed infront of their return funnel and that should do it...

When I set up my pen, I put all the birds in through the funnel. I don't know if it helped but that is what a couple of different people told me to do. I also didn't let out more than about 10 of the 40 I had in the pen. And, I fed them in there about 2 weeks before letting any of them out. Once they realize where they are getting their feed and water at, they will want to come back in. It also helps if they are able to see the other birds inside the cage through the funnel.
