I have 2 pens of Bob Whites that have not started laying eggs yet.I live in Iowa should they be laying eggs now?I have pheasants that have started to lay eggs.What is the laying season for Bob Whites?

I to have some Bobs that have not started this spring My Gambels and Blue scale are laying  dk2

I'm in Iowa too. I put a light on the quail  three weeks ago and they just started laying this week. Other years without the light it was the middle of May before they started laying. But once they start it seems like they lay for a really long time, more eggs than you know what to do with.

Where in Iowa are you located at Hobby farmer? I am over on the western side of the state by Missouri Valley.Glad to see someone else from Iowa on the forum.

My bobs just started to lay last week,the weather has been so crasy they dont know what to do..one day 80 next day 45 go figure and tons if rain on the east coast..same with my pheasants!
