I will be putting 15+ Jumbo Cortunix eggs into the bator probably around the end of the week. These birds will be my breeding flock...and extra males will probably be destined for the table. I have had the Hova-bator warming up for the past week and she seems to be holding steady at 99.5-100. I'm really looking forward to having quail again. I had bobwhites last year and also raised about 2 dozen ringnecks last summer. But the cortunix will be here to stay. Will be sure to post some pics of the hatch!
Thanks all  j1

Sounds good.

Unfortunately, I won't be hatching anything this spring. Going to bring it down to a pair of BW's for the summer in the pen. I will be closing half of it off for vegetation to grow throughout the summer and may hatch some closer to fall. I've got alot going on this year and decided to give the BW's a rest.......and the pens.  I will never winter the amount (60-75) that I have this winter again (normally winter 10-25 for my pen).....feed intake and output is too much for me to keep throwing $$$$ at for what I'm doing. The sanitation issue is not acceptable to me and also creates alot of unneeded work. I'll be throwing more of my $$ and time at habitat this year. No sense in releasing if they don't have anything to eat.  Any eggs I get will probably be used for target practice!   :-|  Gotta keep my rock throwin' skills sharpened!

Good luck!
