just got my eggs in my new incubator (got a quail starter kit)  and i've added the recomended amount of water in the pan but will i need to add water sometimes? how often?  looks like it's almost gone...not sure. thanks. matt.

You have to keep the water level up. How often depends on how fast it runs out. ;)

Warm dry days...more often. Warm humid days...left often. etc.

I have to top mine off once a day.  Some people have devised a way to fill them without opening the incubator by using tubes and small funnels and such. This would be a project best done when incubator is empty I suspect. I've never done it to mine, but I think that I will once this batch of eggs has hatched.
