I've been incubating some Georgia Giant quail eggs and they where suppose to hatch out on Wed. Aug. 11. well monday morning I took the eggs out of the turner. When I came home from work around 7pm on monday I had 4 already hatched. Tues 14 hatched, Wed 19 hatched, Thurs 7 hatched and then today Fri 10 hatched and theres still some hatching now. I know this can't be normal so any suggestion of what I did wrong?
Thanks!

You have cool spots in your incubator.
When you candle eggs at days 7 & 14 you should place them in different places.
ie: inside ones to the outside etc.

Ok, I'll give that a try next time around but I didn't think I would of had a problem with that since I had the newer GQF Genesis Hova-bator since it had the fan.

I have this incubator as well, usually get a flurry hatch and then move them to the brooder after they dry, then up to 4 days later i finish the hatch, never a problem with the differnt size chicks and it seems like they catch up in a few days, maybe just the natiure of the hova-bator, the eggs do get moved around a little during candling but not much...didn't know that trick either..always learning something on here..Russ
