Title: Parasites Possible Cause for Declining TX Quail Pops
Post by: Circle R Ranch Kevin Rockholt on February 15, 2012, 09:29:16 AM
Here is a article that has me thinking on many different thoughts at the moment.  Great short read that is worthy of a couple minutes of your time.
I would like to hear some others thoughts on this.

Thanks for sharing! Very interesting findings, especially that half the quail had eye worms. If abnormally high levels of parasitic worms turn out to be contributing to the decline of bobwhite populations, it will be interesting to see what solutions will be offered. Did I read in this story (or maybe it was another) that grasshoppers or cockroaches are suspected as intermediary hosts for the worms...
