Those are the original colors, except for the fertilizer tube, although I could paint it black with vinyl paint, but I kinda like the blue/black striped. I made it out of swimming pool hose and sump pump discharge hose. One inside of the other to get it to fit on both ends, it worked out better than the original black rubber hoses which are impossible to find. It's amazing how much plumbing stuff that I've been able to use on this planter. Bad thing is that I'll end up having to wait in order to try it out when and if I get it finished........that'll drive me bananas!

And here she is.......finally!!
I would have finished it earlier, but I've been dragging my feet.....
It was quite a bit of work, but it seems to run great in every aspect. Now I'll have to wait until planting season to give it a real test run.

After........ whew!!!
I have $351 in receipts and I'm figuring $450-$500 total out of pocket. Nice thing about it, is that I can get my money back out of it if I wanted, but not my time!

Then of course, if you own of of them ^ , you'll have to have one of these:
I just bought this baby and haven't even got it home yet, it will be my next project, a 1948 Dearborn left handed one row picker.
