Could someone explain the correct way to make a quail sleep ?
I've heard about this for training dogs. Does it work on most quail breeds ?
I would not want to try this without the correct procedure so as not to harm the birds !

Thanks !

Sally, I believe I know what you are after. Take the bird in question in both hands in front of you, now swing the bird in a large circle in whatever direction that is good for you, do this four or five times. This should dizzy the bird.

If you are concerned as to the harm this might do to the bird take a ride in a dryer.

Sally, you can twirl the bird around in circles, I quite doing that because you can over spin them and the will die.  I tuck their head underneath a wing, make sure you stretch the legs out ( to make them as long as possible, now you are ready to plant, put the bird under some cover and gently squeeze them.  By not dizziing them I have found that they fly better.
