Great info Steve. Thanks for putting in the time to do it.

Thanks to all that has commented on this issue. I thought and felt that it might be informative for those that have never seen the results of a hen that died from being egg bound.

As I had stated in my first post, this is the first time witnessing the death as she bared down to pass the egg.

She did make a fine meal..

Great post Steve!!!

I enjoyed reading and seeing  it especially at the end when my mouth was watering, it was better that you ate it than to  throw it away. Sorry that you had to witness the first time a hen to die from egg bound. Very informative yeah, make it a sticky its pretty useful and helpful.

  That birds problem didn't start with this one egg, Thats not a normal Oviduct
