Thought I'd share my latest tragedy. I have 3 week old pheasants in the cellar so I went down to feed them this morning and one of the pheasants got ahold of an 8 track tape (yes-i'm outdated) and swallowed the tape. So I have a pheasant with all this tape down his throat and I tried to pull it out but it was stuck in there (still attatched to the tape also) What could I do? He was foaming at the mouth at that point so I cut it and he swallowed it the rest of the way down. I soppose he has since died...so here I sit at work thinking how stupid it was to leave the tape beside the cage and how I have killed my pheasant. I now know to move everything away from the birds!!
