Title: bob white life span
Post by: omega ridge on April 21, 2014, 01:43:24 PM
My current (second) batch of bob whites are a little over a year old now and have laid eggs all winter here in Texas. My question is should I maintain this batch for another year before releasing them? I believe their life span is around three years. They are doing so well laying (I am selling the eggs) I am thinking to keep them another year and incubate more next year. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Keep them laying if you release them they will last about one day you have a better chance of birds surviving if they are released just after getting flight feathers
