also I'm getting some mixed mess on this. can Texas a&M's,Tuxedo, chocolate, jumbo brows, be mixed in the brooder, and flight pen? well they all work for dog training and recalling?

chewchew,
tuxedo quail will mature around 6 to 12 weeks of age and will lay between 6 to 8 weeks of lay, its really the same as the Coturnix Quails. Yeah you could mix up the different varieties in the brooder with some success, i have the Texas a &m and the brown coturnix mixed with no problem. Good Luck!

Bobwhites perform better than coturnix for recall pens, your best best for recall pens is the bobwhites.

no they don't recall and they are no good for training dogs unless you are training a few poung pup.you can mix them with no problem. but they do not fly very well.not enough to use as training birds for dogs. if the dog trainers know what their doing they will not buy those unless they have a 2 or 3 month old pup. i use them when i train a young pup cause they only fly 20 maybe 30 yards and go down and i let the pup chase.but an older dog the bird won't stand a chance.
