Title: Help! The eggs arrived before the incubator!
Post by: JessBeePaws on September 22, 2009, 01:14:41 AM
I purchased 9 mexican speckled quail eggs and a hovabator + egg turner on ebay, and I gave specific instructions to the seller of the eggs to wait a week before sending them to me....and well, they didn't get the memo. So now I have the eggs sitting here with no incubator! The incubator was just shipped today but won't get here for 5-7 days!! What am I supposed to do with the eggs till then? The egg seller told me they were 1 day old when he shipped them and he said they should be ok for 10 days. But that is cutting it REALLY close. Should I put them outside so they can get sunlight and warmth during the day? Should I put them under a heat lamp?! Agh!! I have no clue what to do. I don't want these eggs to die and I have never incubated before!  s2
