5 year old cock in flock of 4 birds living on wire.

Bird cannot stand. Both legs seem partly paralyzed. Bird does not attempt to escape capture.  Head up, eyes open, no retracted neck or watery discharges. No apparent problem breathing.

Legs appear straight, but uncoordinated.  Feathers fluffed somewhat.

No solid fecal material to examine. Small watery odorous fecal discharge.

Bird has been in this condition for 5 days without improvement.

Any ideas  how to proceed?

Take the best sample you can gather to a Vet & tell him/her what you state here. Have it tested asap. You should have done this on day one. If the bird has died, take to the VET asap & have an autopsy done.

Many symptoms can be way off base on what really is the problem.

When the test results have been returned, ask yourself: where/how could this get into my birds? Then fix that problem.

Many people this time of year get lazy on giving clean, fresh, cool water daily, in clean containers. In old water/dirty containers, many nasty things can grow at an alarming rate.

The above takes all the guess work out of the equation.
