Well, I got the second on mid morning in the barn. I had seen this sucker hanging on the rafters last week and then vanished.
I'd post pictures, but since I am out of space on here I can't.
So back to the Black snake, I was on my second trip into the barn and into the adjoining room going into the flight pen. The sucker was climbing up the wire next to the door.
I put the birds water down, went to the house and got the .22 The 1st shot got it in the neck area and dropped, the second was a head shot and now it is dead. I hung it over the fence out behind the barn to rot. The snake measured just a little over 4.5 foot.
Time for the 3rd one.
Did I mention I hate snakes???

We've got a snake runnin' loose here too! ^-^ Think maybe you can flush it out and I'll hit over the head with a shovel before it has a chance to breed? I may need a steam shovel, it's an awfully big head!

I may need a steam shovel
and you're trying to pass your self off as 32.... ::)
No snakes here, well saw a small Garder the cats caught.
Coyotes here though....but thined out the last two days !
Smoked another this morning ! Got 3 out there for the Eagles, Ravens, Crows and Magpies to clean up now. They cleaned up the last two already.

That's no snake! It's a little grub worm. Con huevos pocos. They sometimes hiss, and slither like snakes.
Last Fall, I walked out the front door, and a Black snake fell off the top of the door, onto my shoulder. Luckily, I was carrying a weed eater, rather than a shot gun. He was pretty hard to measure accurately, but about the same size as yours (4-5 feet).

"with tiny eggs"
Sorry, the guys who sneak across your Southern border speak Montanan
huevos=cajones=nads=stones
I thought Chuck was talking about the snake peddling pure s*** I mean pure chickies.
Thus, not a snake, just a grub worm with tiny stones.

Saw a real nice King Snake today while working on my dog kennels. Picked it up let it go a few min. later. Will never kill one of them..I`d let them in the house...but needed it outside...
