Some shots of my birds (Updated on July 18th)

I'm not sure there's only luck Reeves.

First of all, I give my birds a lot of plants and places to hide, so they all have there own little private place. Secondly, I give them a diet with enough protein/fiber. They also have a lot of space to run, that's one of the main reason I keep them together, to give them a bigger aviary. When I got my first Bobwhite, it was 30 3-weeks old from the hatchery. I got them seperated from every other birds until they were grown enough for butchering. At that time, I've chose the most nice one, wich means : the ones who were not afraid of me, the one who were not agressive and the most beautiful.

I don't think it's only luck, I already got agressive birds and they made good food... Maybe I've been lucky to don't get a Callipepla Quail who was not agressive, but once they are together they are doing fine. If I'm right, I think that most of all those birds, except my Amherst, have been reared with many other species, maybe this is a great point.

Anyway, on the birds I'm getting on Fall, it's sure I don't keep them with those little quails!

I still say it's luck 

You've seen pictures of my pens. They are in the 600 sq. ft. area, land scaped, grass etc.
Yet if I put a pair or trio of Bobwhite in with any Pheasant species, those little buggers will run the Pheasants into the ground !

I do applaud you for the research you put into each (bird) project you get your self into !

Like I always say, it's not because it works with me that it will works with everybody. But to keep those birds like this need a lot of time from me, but that's my hobby!

Very nice pics Frank, well done with your birds.

I love the ducks,  I keep debating about building something for some, but I'm behind on my other projects.  I'd love to raise some Mandarins or Wood Ducks. Someday when I grow up.

Yes the ducks are Mandarins. I also feed them with a recipes that I got from Resolution on GBWF forum (and it works) to give them better feathers, etc.

The camera is a Lumix (Panasonic) DMC-F27, 12x optical zoom (useful with Mandarins  ), lens : 35 mm equiv.

It does take nice pictures. Do you print out any pictures? if so how do they look?

It's really similar if it's not the same! I'm pretty sure it's the same, but the one I use for pictures was much more expensive, PM me if you want to know the price.

I never print my pictures but I think that with a nice ink and nice paper everything should be okay.

That's my parents Kodak, just to make things clear. I've asked my mom and she told me she received nothing, except few cables and a batter charger.

you were kidding right, i think that plenty of sunlight will help keep their colors nice. Their pen isnt that dark,before it was but there is a little more sun than it used to have.
